Using “vessel” as a metaphor to represent both our body and/or our spirit, we will compassionately delve into ourselves, and explore the condition of the vessel that contains us. As Kim Krans states, It is natural for structures to be formed and eventually fall apart. Is it time to build, break or repair your vessel?
Using Intentional Creativity, paint, story, and feminine archetypes we will mold, reshape, move out, create or repair our vessel with other like minded women.
Gathering in community with women, in an on-line workshop, we will assess our vessel through guided imagery. In the container that we create as a group, we will share the story of our vessels. Over our weekend together we will paint layer by layer - symbols, colors, words, intentions - onto a canvas. We will paint the cracks and tight places. We will paint the old and no longer needed parts. We will paint and bring into form our new containers. Making them bigger as needed, a new shape or color. We will write and share stories of our containers or vessels. Our final imagine will be you as a vessel - either as a woman, or a container, or a combination of them both.
Several feminine archetypes and their stories will be our guide as we discover the condition of our vessel.
Akhilanda - the Never Not Broken Hindu Goddess, reminds us of the potential in our brokenness. She can show us the beauty of liberation. She knows the power of vulnerability. And did I mention she is a bad-ass and rides on a crocodile - the primordial mother!
Inanna - The Queen of Heaven and Earth, an ancient Mesopotamian Goddess. Ianna and her decent into the underworld reminds us to divest ourselves of outward attachments so we can know the truth of who we are.
The Celtic Goddess of the eternal flame - Brigid. Her fire is the spark of life.
Pele, the Hawaiian goddess who both destroys and creates. Pele reminds us that, even fiery eruptions and emotional upheavals are followed by new life and change.
Baubo, the Greek Goddess of Humor. Baubo celebrates the healing power of laughter and sexuality.
Vessels are everywhere - womb, egg, planets contained in a solar system…
“When we remember the space behind our brokenness, we re-member, we piece
back together the broken shards of our lives to form new patterns and new ways
of being.
”
Intentional Creativity
We will create our image layer by layer using Intentional Creativity. Intentional Creativity simply defined is creating with deep intention for a desired outcome. When we create with deep intention it changes us from within.
“Intentional Creativity is a choice to consciously access and express our stories and internal landscape through creative process. A way to work with the places within, which we often don’t have language for…
…Creating with intention is simply working with mindfulness in whatever we set our hands to. Whether it is creating a soup, a garden, a business plan or a painting. We are more present because we choose to be. Intentional creativity is an approach to creating that yields greater access to who we are now and who we are becoming. “

Terre Newell-Busse - Artist, Healer, Teacher and Gatherer of Women.
I love the power & beauty of the creative process. Through creativity we are able to transform & step more fully into our greater selves. I love when women come together to create, build community, explore possibilities, laugh, and share the stories that are our lives. I paint, I dance, I make up stories. Sometimes, I do them all at the same time. Truth be told, my best work is when I do do them all at the same time. I see magic in the everyday. The colors in a sunset, the sound of crickets chirping on a warm summer evening, and every time I look up at the stars, my “10 year old self” is amazed that there is NO ceiling! I believe - Magic happens when women gather.
