Did you know that Baubo - the Ancient Greek Goddess is a walking Vulva? She may be a walking vulva, vagina and a uterus as well - I am not really sure. What I do know, is that I’ve become quite curious about vulvas - walking or not.

Are you curious? Join me for what is destined to be a lively, raucous, and inspiring workshop!

We will explore the creativity, power, vulnerability, and sensuality of the vulva. Our tools will be colors, paint, canvas, our stories, - true and made up, Intentional Creativity, laughter, and community.

And No, this won’t be one of those parties where you think you are going to buy Tupperware and instead, you are handed a mirror and asked to look at your vulva in a circle of strangers. I promise, we will keep our knickers on!

Gathering in community with women, in an on-line workshop, we will explore the energy of the vulva - creativity, birth, power, vulnerability, inner knowing, sensuality…

We will share our stories and make up stories. Over our two days together we will paint layer by layer of intentional creativity, using symbols, colors, words, and intentions - onto a canvas.

We will paint the void. We will paint the old and no longer needed. We will paint and bring into form a vulva or a being onto the canvas. Have you ever noticed how Mother Mary in her robes looks a lot like a vulva in all her glory?

Our final imagine will be a vulva, a woman or something of the two combined – or perhaps a vulva with a face and legs, like Baubo.

Intentional Creativity

We will create our image layer by layer using Intentional Creativity. Intentional Creativity simply defined is creating with deep intention for a desired outcome. When we create with deep intention it changes us from within.

“Intentional Creativity is a choice to consciously access and express our stories and internal landscape through creative process. A way to work with the places within, which we often don’t have language for…

…Creating with intention is simply working with mindfulness in whatever we set our hands to. Whether it is creating a soup, a garden, a business plan or a painting. We are more present because we choose to be. Intentional creativity is an approach to creating that yields greater access to who we are now and who we are becoming. “

The Rose Thorn - a 13th century poem of a talking vulva.

The tale of the loquacious genitalia begins with a male narrarator who shares how he first came across a young woman arguing with her vulva during her daily soak in rosewater. The dialogue between the two is witty, and the woman contends that men are primarily attracted to her looks. The vulva contends the young woman puts too much emphasis on her appearance. The two decide to go their separate ways, to disastrous result. Ultimately, they realize they must reunite.

Terre Newell-Busse - Artist, Healer, Teacher and Gatherer of Women.
I love the power & beauty of the creative process. Through creativity we are able to transform & step more fully into our greater selves. I love when women come together to create, build community, explore possibilities, laugh, and share the stories that are our lives. I paint, I dance, I make up stories. Sometimes, I do them all at the same time. Truth be told, my best work is when I do do them all at the same time. I see magic in the everyday. The colors in a sunset, the sound of crickets chirping on a warm summer evening, and every time I look up at the stars, my “10 year old self” is amazed that there is NO ceiling! I believe - Magic happens when women gather.
